GSA-TAG
(Technology & Aging Group of
the Gerontological Society
of America) is a diverse group with a common interest in
the research and practice of applying technology to meeting the needs of
society. These include assistive, computer-based, distance learning,
health care and other evolving technologies that may intersect the aging
domain. |

GSA-TAG
was founded as an “informal interest group” by Dr. Gari
Lesnoff-Caravaglia in 1987, who also served as Convener from 1987 to 1999.
In 1989, GSA awarded GSA-TAG formal status, permitting one Interest Group
Symposium at each Annual Scientific Meeting, in addition to other
workshops and symposia.
Membership
in GSA-TAG provides an opportunity for networking activities in the realm
of gerontechnology. GSA-TAG is comprised of academics, researchers,
industry, and practitioners, as well as students, working in the field of
gerontology and technology. Membership and participation in GSA-TAG does not
require membership in the Gerontological Society of America and is open to
all. |
