The most unique find from the Viking Age is the Oseberg-find. Second in size to both the Gokstad and
other ships found, but second in beauty to absolutely none. Oseberg is the most magnificent discovery
ever made from the Viking Age.

Built around 820 AD, the Oseberg longship was excavated in 1904, from a  burial site in Vestfold, Norway. She was reassembled and placed in a hall outside Oslo Norway in theVikingship Museum.

Constructed entirely of oak the total length the ship is over 70 feet long, 16"+ wide and 6½ feet at her deepest. With a crew of ca. 35 her displacement may have been over 11 tons.
