Research Interests

Laser micro-fabrication and laser materials processing, fluorescence spectroscopy, and solar photovoltaics.

 

Professor Mathews joined the EECS department in August 2003.  Prior to joining the Catholic faculty, he was a research scientist at Potomac Photonics.  In parallel with his work at Catholic, he works in the Laser Direct Write Laboratory at the Naval Research Laboratory .  Dr. Mathews is currently in the process of developing and implementing a new curriculum in the EECS Dept. focused on “Alternative and Renewable Energy”
