| The photo above was published on the front page of the Los Angeles Times for March 31, 2003. It shows a British soldier assisting refugees near Basra, Iraq. After editors at another newspaper noticed repeating images among the civilians in the background, the photo was revealed as a composite of two photos. The photographer, Brian Walski, acknowledged altering the photo by computer. As a result, Walski was fired by the Los Angeles Times. | ||||||||||
