| I. Create an account on BlackBoard |
| Go
to CUA's BlackBoard
system at http://bb.cua.edu Click on the Create Account button. This will bring you to a form in which you fill-in some information. Here's the information we need:
You can edit this information later, for example, to change your email address. Please click the Submit button at the bottom at the bottom of the page when you have done this. Now you should see a screen welcoming you by name. |
| II. Register for the placement
test (Note: This is not the same as registering for
a math course) |
| Go again to BlackBoard's
opening screen at http://bb.cua.edu and log in (if you aren't already
logged in). Click the red My courses tab near the top right of the page. This will show a page with the heading Course Catalog above a column of course names at the right of the screen. Find and click Mathematics. Now you will see a list of courses on BlackBoard. Look for Math Placement Test 2008-09 in the list and click the enroll button on the far right. You will now be at the "self-enrollment" page for the Placement Test. Look for the access code box in the middle of the page. Type the word testme in that box, then click the Submit button. You should see a page announcing that you have successfully enrolled. Click the OK button at the bottom right. Now you will see the opening page for the test's BlackBoard page. You are enrolled; that is, you can take the online test when you are ready. Note: you don't have take the test right now. |
