Biography in Brief
Dr. Elsharkawy’s research interests include real-time and embedded
systems, parallel and distributed processing, operating systems, real-time
middleware, computer network protocols, wireless and sensor networks, and
computer vision. Prior to joining CUA, he worked as a senior member of
technical staff in Lambda Optical Systems in the area of optical networks.
He also worked as a senior member of technical staff in Hughes Network
Systems in the area of embedded systems and digital multimedia signal
processing.
