Requirements and Grades

Email RequirementYou will be required to send three emails during the semester. Each of these emails should discuss the issues raised by our readings or in the class discussion. Or you may respond to points made by others in their emails.Due Dates for Emails: 1. Sept. 16th 2. Oct. 21 3. Nov. 18th In your first message to me (which will not count towards the three), I would like to know something about yourself and in which areas of law you are interested.Please send this first email me as soon as possible (and required by September 1st) to my email address: pennington@cua.edu I want to construct a listserve for the class with your preferred email address. The subject line for all your emails should read: Law 163 If you do not send any emails or not three emails during the semester, points will be deducted from your final essay and final grade. The emails will count as class discussion. No emails sent after November 28th will be counted. |
| Attendance:
Attendance is required. An attendance sheet will be circulated for
each class. More than three absences will affect your final grade.
You may receive an excused absence if you email me by 5:00 PM on the day of
the class. Final Essay: One four-page essay will be required for the course (ca. 1200 words). It should be typed, double-spaced, and proofread. The margins of the essay should be one inch on each side and the font size should be 12 point. Your final essays will be due on Friday, December 18th at Midnight. The essays should be anonymous and with your exam number on it. See my email of November 21st for instructions on how to submit your essay by email. |
